Amino acids
They are your body's foundation of strength, recovery, and vitality.
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, which are critical for every cell, tissue, and organ. These proteins power muscle growth and repair, support enzyme and hormone production, fuel your metabolism and energy, and help maintain a strong immune system.
Your body needs 20 amino acids to build the proteins every cell needs to function, and nine of these are essential; you can't produce them. They must come from your diet or supplements to keep your body functioning at its best, from strong muscles to optimal overall health.
Some members of the amino acid family never end up inside a protein (non-protein amino acids). Taurine is made from L-cysteine and found in nearly all tissues, while L-theanine occurs almost exclusively in tea leaves. Creatine is not an amino acid at all, but a compound your body builds from the amino acids glycine, arginine, and methionine, and it increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise.
